I’ve started a blog!
Well, I’ve started a blog. Never thought I was that self important but I guess I am. But honestly, why not start a blog?
I like to write; at work nothing makes me happier than getting to write an strongly worded email reminding a manager about a policy that they are not being compliant with. Sadly though, that was the extent of my writing. With my recent health issues, I am off work for the foreseeable future and with no employees to reprimand via the written word I am going to need an outlet.
When I was in the hospital and doing my “Random Hospital Posts” I got just enough positive feedback to make me think that someone may actually want to read something I write. Maybe even someone other than my mom or her friends. (Hi Mom!)
In all seriousness though, there’s some universality in dealing with medical issues. Heart problems, cancer, rare tropical virus…it all can suck some time. A IV stick effing hurts regardless of what drug it’s feeding into your arm. My hope is that maybe someone out there, be it another Fontan patient, a mom of heart kid or anyone stuck in a hospital or dealing with doctors will find a little humor or joy in my random ramblings.

June 28, 2018 at 10:17 amDo what you do best…..write to your friends who will listen and know that you are SPECIAL! Don’t let people not hear your voice….You inspire others with your life’s story and you can write it down and share it with those that need to know that we all are not alone in this world we live in!
